Join us for any of these shows at Wolfvilles Deep Roots Music Festival.
On the Friday afternoon, we’re offering up an hour or so of some of our classic pieces and a few fresh new ideas.
On the Saturday, we’ll be part of a concert given in tribute to Kings County’s own musicologist and fiddler, Carrie Spinney Grover – organized by Jenny Melvin, along with several other singers and instrumentalists who have dedicated their musical lives to preserving traditional music of the area.
On the Sunday, you can catch us performing protest songs!

Saturday, 24th of May, 7 pm
The Halifax Celtic Festival is always a fun weekend of music and dance, so we’re glad to return once again, and will feature some new songs, tune compositions. We’ll be joined on stage by Scott Henderson (pipes), and Ashlyne MacRae (dancer). There’s lots of great acts that we look forward to hearing, and you can, too. The festival is free of charge!
Thursday, 20th of March, 1 pm
We’re delighted to share a bit of traditional music and some associated background stories as part of Acadia Universities open lecture series, which takes place each Thursday, at 1 pm, and is open to the public.
We’ll bring along Scott Henderson (uilleann pipes), Elizabeth MacDonald (sean nós/old-style step dance) the universities very own Dr. Jeff Hennessy (piano), and a number of local set dancers.

Monday, 17th of March, 8 pm
St Patricks Day traditional music session! We’ll host an open trad session at The Port Taproom, from 8 pm onwards. Please feel free to join us with an instrument, if you play jigs and reels, and if not, come out for a few glasses of beer and plenty of craic!

Delhaven will provide music for the first annual Irish Set Dancing festival, held in Port Williams, Nova Scotia. Special musical guests include Rob Kehler (piano) and Michael Roddy (uillean pipes). The festival is delighted to have renowned teacher and dance historian, Pat Murphy visiting.
In addition to the céilí dance that Delhaven will play for on the Saturday night, there’ll be dances and great music on:

-Sunday afternoon, September 15th (Scott Henderson with members of Ghlean na Gaeilge), 3 pm

Delhaven are teaming up with the Old Orchard Inn to organize a ceílí, fundraising for Chrysalis House, which is a charity that helps women and children move forward from domestic abuse situations. Special guests include Mairi Chaimbeul (harp and piano), Graham Wells (button accordion), and Elizabeth MacDonald (dance caller).
Tickets are $20 at the door, or you can purchase ahead of time here for a discounted rate. You may also bring an item for donation directly to the charity, the bake sale, or the silent auction, and admittance will be $15.

Join us for our summer ceílí at The Old Triangle. Once again joined by Graham Wells, a fab box player from NFLD, the group will lash out jigs and reels, and Elizabeth MacDonald will guide you through traditional ceílí dances. Don’t forget to support the pub with the purchase of a drink (or 5!), as an excellent night for them will go a long ways toward creating more of these opportunities.
Bonus: Graham will host a tune workshop for musicians from 7-8 pm.

We’re kicking off our spring and summer season of performing with the Halifax Celtic Festival.

We’re delighted to team up with the Annapolis Valley Honour Choir to present a concert of cozy, wintery music. The program is mostly secular compositions, but we’ll also throw in a few traditional carols for you, the audience, to sing along with. Tickets are available at www.avhc.ca!

Come join us for our Hallowe’en party! There will be home baked treats, costumes encouraged, and the opportunity to try your hand (or foot) at a bit of ceílí dancing, led by Pat Loughnane. The music will be extra special this evening as we are joined by Michael Roddy (uilleann pipes and whistles) and Jeremy Finney (concertina, fiddle and guitar).
Dogs are welcomed here, and costumed dogs doubly so.
